Palo Santo Wood is used for cleansing and smudging ceremonies.
Palo Santo means 'Holy Wood' in Spanish. It's burned similarly to a sage stick not only to clear energy but to attract sacredness and mindfulness to a space.
South American shamans believed that burning Palo Santo could clear the energy around the body, which was tainted by negativity or conflict.
From the Incan tradition, Palo Santo smoke, burned during spiritual ceremonies, was cleansing and medicinal.
